The Zenith was the first of the new generation resin rods to turn heads. It won George Andersons Yellowstone Angler shootout on back-to-back years and was praised for both its accuracy and fun factor. This rod, here, is the second iteration of flagship Hardys Freshwater 440 Sintrix. How is the Zephrus different than the Zenith? As with the Zenith, fly line seems to just spring off the rod during the cast... Power that effortlessly comes out nowhere. The Zephrus taper, however, was tweaked somewhat translating to a more fishable fast-action rod. The Zenith was known as a bomber; a rocket launcher, and a first of its kind when it came to the new resins.

The Zephrus taper tones down the firepower just a tad leaning a bit toward a more easier located accuracy at short range. In Andersons last shootout, the Zephrus is ranked 3rd just a hare behind each the Loomis NRX LP and the Scott Radian. Was highly praised for being slightly easier than the Radian to fish in close.

If you havent fished a Zephrus, you might seriously consider doing sojust a real treat. This rod is in essentially new condition. Note: As noted in photos, tube cap indicates 86 5wt rather than 9 5wt.
