For your consideration is a collectable and fishable Heddon #20 Bill Stanley's Favorite Bamboo Fly Rod 8 1/2' 2F with tube and sock. The rod is in used condition. Many of the wraps were dried out, so I rewrapped them in silk and varnished the new wraps, which are a very close match to the originals.Only 1 or 2 wraps were redone on the tip(s) if you wish to see how close the color match is. One tip has a slight fishing set. The ferrules fit very tight, but do not make a loud pop when separated.
The inscription on the rod is original and as the photos show, are in great condition. The foil label on the tube is mostly not legible but is all there. The sock has had a small sewing repair at the bottom.
Many fish this with a 5 wt and I have as well, but it really comes alive with a 6 DT. The rod, tube, and sock in the photos are what you will receive. This is a desirable taper capable of casting small dries to big streamers and hoppers on small to large rivers. You won't be disappointed with the condition or its casting capabilities.
