This wonderful 1960s PEZON ET MICHEL French-made rod is in near mint shape. The rod is actually two different sizes in one. This might have been a custom order for a client of FARLOWS tackle company. It does have a serial number but it's hard to read the numbers due to the fancy script writing. The rod comes in four pieces.Handle #1: 42 inches long. Middle cane section #2: 43 inches long. Tip cane section #3: 51 inches long. Small handle #4: 13 inches long.
Cane stopper insert: 7 inches long. NOTE---THE 7 INCH FERRULE only fits into the middle section--the middle section has all the writing on it.The longer butt section might have been custom made at a later date---then using the middle and tip to create a longer and different style of rod---the cane and shape are the same color and style but the thread on the longer butt is lighter and has a different configuration of loops tied around the cane --it has three small loops then a large solid loop---while the small butt and tip have two small loops and a large solid loop----my guess is that the large butt was made later at the request of the owner---very unique style.. The rod lengths appear to be 11.4 feet and 8.10 feet. It also has the original turned wooden stopper and bag! This rod was bought from an estate in Victoria, BC, which has a very large British population and sports fishing folks. I offer a 100% guarantee on all my auctions.
