The blank was made by Chris Carlin and it is based on a Payne 97 taper (this rod's actual length is right around 7' 3). The previous owner [and builder] of this rod did a great job of putting it all together. He used high-quality components, such as Snake Brand guides, a Mildrum stripper, and a beautiful Spanish cedar reel seat. &#######xA0;As for the condition of this rod, it appears that it was very lightly used, and it is in excellent shape. It comes with the sock and a quality tube. All-in-all, a high-quality rod, that is ready to hit the water. I also have a Chris Carlin F.
