F. E. Thomas Special Bamboo Fly Fishing Rod. 8' 3/2. See Description
Up for sale is an F. Thomas Special bamboo fly rod. This rod is in nice shape; however, one tip has been repaired and the other is short/missing the tip guide (this rod now measures in at just over 7' 11).
Aside from the defects with the tip(s), the finish on the guide wrappings has smudging (see photos). The cork handle has some ridging, but it still feels nice in your hand (it looks like it was cleaned at some point in time). The ferrules measure 15/64 & 11/64 (they fit tight, but they do need a good cleaning). The butt cap is marked F 168. The tube is included; however, it is in rough shape (it looks melted), the rod doesn't fit in freely all the way, and the cap is missing.
