Up for sale is a very nice&#######xA0;Orvis Impregnated bamboo fly rod. This rod is 8 1/2' long and it weighs 5oz (it feels like it would handle 6-7wt fly lines just fine). Overall, this rod is in great shape, and it is ready to fish with or collect. The bamboo looks amazing, and the cork handle only has a light soiling. The ferrules fit tight, but they do need a good cleaning (they measure 17/64" & 11/64").

This rod doesn&#####x2019;t have any serial numbers or a label. It is only labeled&#######xA0;"Dicky Townlee June 1950". &#######xA0;Supposedly, &#######xA0;Dicky Townlee's wife was a&#######xA0;secretary at&#######xA0;Orvis and&#######xA0;has this rod custom built for him. &#######xA0;This rod comes with the sock and a tube. The sock looks original, and the tube might be a replacement. All-in-all, a rather neat Orvis rod, that is in great shape! &#######xA0;Please see all of the photos and thank you for looking.
