Sage 389 LL Fly Rod Factory Rod Great Condition With Sock & Tube

  

Here is a wonderful example of the classic Sage Light Line series rods. This is the very desirable 389LL fly rod. This is a two piece model in graphite III. The original tube and sock are included.

The blank on this rod is in great shape with no scratches or marks anywhere. The guides are mint looking too. The rod has no issues and there are just light signs of use.

The butt of the rod has some surface marks, the wood spacer is no longer shiny new, and the cork is a little darker. The metal can be polished, the wood can be oiled or another type of finish applied, the cork could be cleaned but, I have not bothered to do anything to them. The tube has a dent in it from a little mishap years ago. The rod still goes in and out of the tube easily. The dent could probably be taken out by inserting a pvc tube into the fly rod tube but, I have not done so.

I think that this rod has been on the water only a couple of times in the last dozen years. I last had it out more than a year ago.

I luckily have a few other 389 LL rods and with the prices the last year for used rods it is time to list this and maybe a few other LL line wts.
