Scott Heli Ply 8'8 10 Weight3-Piece Fly RodGreat Fishing Condition
This is an 8'8 rod for 10wt. The rod was only used for casting practice and has been stored in the tube the rest of the time. I had a few of the Heli-ply rods in lower wts. Loved them, and just knew that I needed this one too. I never wound up fishing it mostly because I started traveling with four piece rods.
The rod is in great fishing condition. I do see that there are a couple of small places with a little discoloration on the stripping guides. These are under the coating at the foot of the guides. I believe that this is just aging and not corrosion and will not have any impact on using the rod. The rest of the rod is in great shape and you will be pleased with the rod.
The original sock & tube are in very good condition with just some marks on the outside of the tube from storage in the garage. The Heli-Ply are fantastic fly rods and I don't think that there is anything in this price range that can come close to the performance that this rod will give you.
